Concert update: two new dates have been added and we have now confirmed that Matthew Good will appear at SXSW!
Update: the confirmed tentative name for the new demo is "Fought to Fight It."
Newly recorded on Apple's Garageband and featuring a bass line influenced by the Pixies' Kim Deal, a new demo is up for listening on Matthew Good's blog.
Similar to that of his latest recorded demos, the song features a drum track played on a midi keyboard with little to no mastering. The rawer sound may prove to be a big win for Matthew in the upcoming months as he records his next, currently untitled, album.
While a name for the demo track has not been officially confirmed, we've put lyrics up for Fought to Fight It in the lyrics section of our site.
Matthew Good tours in the United States beginning this March 7th in Seattle, Washington. The new version of this site will launch before the tour so be sure to check in daily for concert updates and more music news!

Some bad news to report today, the EP Matthew Good was demoing will not be released. Though this brings us to the good news, Matthew will likely be in studio this fall recording a NEW ALBUM!
The new album will likely include, at least in part, the two teaser tracks released on the web. While we still have not posted any lyrics for The Boy Who Could Explode, rough lyrics for it are available on the Bored.
Matthew Good's American leg of the Nothing to Hide Acoustic Tour will begin this March 7th at the Tractor Tavern in Seattle Washington. More dates and purchase information will be posted in our concert listings as information becomes available.

A new demo, "The Boy Who Could Explode," is available for listening on Matthew Good's MySpace page. The song was recorded in one pass while the lyrics were improvised along the way with the exception of the chorus, "What are you thinking?"
Lyrics will be up in a few moments and a copy of the song will be mirrored in the NF Store.
Lyrics Update: Since Matt freestyled this song like he used to with Four Minute Mile it may take a little longer to get the lyrics up. Feel free to join in on the discussion on the Bored and help us transcribe the song.

UPDATE: it has come to our attention that the Crocodile Cafe, a venue Matthew Good was set to perform at this March 7th, has closed down. It has been moved to the Tractor Tavern, check our listings for more information.
REMEMBER: the drinking age in the US is 21. Some venues vary on which ages they permit to enter (18-21). Also, these are still ACOUSTIC shows.
