Canadian Idol

Apparitions, from the critically acclaimed album Underdogs, made an unexpected appearance on Canadian Idol recently when contestant Paul Clifford sang his rendition of the song.

Clifford performed the song with a faster tempo and an acoustic guitar while the backing band performed the song with an Eastern Canadian style, adding a piano into the mix. Idol Judge Farley Flex calls this song a "rock ballad" while another judge, Jake Gold, doesn't appear to have heard the song before.

The arrangement and pitch differ from what most fans are used to but it's an interesting listen.

The performance is on season 6 of Canadian Idol episode 10 and can be viewed on the CTV website.
