Sort of a Protest Blog

I got a call today from the CBC office in Vancouver. I was invited to watch the Hour (George Stroumboulopoulos’ show on the CBC) but with only an hour or so notice (lawl). I went and watched and won a sweater and a mountain bottle. Sadly the sweater is a medium and much too small for me but it looked cool none the less. To my surprise they had a segment with MG in it and Fairuz (family friend) was interviewed.

Anyway, George was a really nice and I got free stuff. It was cool to see how tv shows worked, especially when it’s a live show. The interviews are mostly pre-taped as are the segments. But yeah, George would talk to the crowd during the commercials but had to go to Whistler after the show. But that does explain why we had to show up way before the show started, that’s when he talked it up with the audience.

I want to work at the CBC, heh.

So I got myself one of those Toshiba Notebooks. Pretty nifty so far and has Harman speakers! It took me an hour to setup WIFI and a day to figure out that I forgot to add the IP ranges to the firewall exception lists lol :(. I still have to install a lot of software on this system but it’s pretty much back up to standards.

It’s an Intel Centrino 1.73ghz with 512mbDDR2 RAM :D, it’s got a 100gb harddrive but it’s a little more with the network linked up. I’ve also obtained and installed Age of Empires III. It’s good but as before, just use it for random skirmishes and wiping out whole countries.

Stargate re-runs aren’t as exciting. Belated happy birthday to Ms. Nuisance.

I need the new Prozzak album. Two days.

Oh gods, I just heard three clips off of “Cruel Cruel World“. I can’t wait!!!11!!11!!oneone!!

Anyway, like I said before, they redrew them. They redrew Simon again too. He looks better than the last version but not as cool as neckless Simon.

I got a copy of her latest album, Love Angel Music Baby, and I have to admit it’s awesome. It’s highly suggestive and that’s probably the reason guys like me secretly bought it. That and it’s nice to stare.

Why didn’t my highschool have a sexy all girl marching band? That really upsets me :(. Anyway, the random Japanese influence was pretty damn cool too as currently I’m obsessed with the Japanese. I’m still thinking about doing six months in Japan but I’m betting that could be tricky for Comp Sci.

She dresses up like Madge now but the younger, foxier Madge. Oh man, what a fox.
