I don’t know, it’s still weird to blog about someone else but hey, I guess this is a weird exception. I’m honoured and a bit surprised that I get to go to Matthew’s little shin-dig tonight but at the same time it’s upsetting to see a “part of Vancouver” go. I’m not saying that Matt Good is like the steam clock down in Gas Town but we’re supposed to be the New York of Canada (or is that Toronto? hah). How metropolitan are we when artists want to leave the place. I’ve always thought about leaving this city but where would I go anyway? But yes, EA is too tempting a workplace to get away from.
Anyway, I’ll see if I can tape some of it tonight and maybe, if we’re lucky, we’ll get a video interview before the big guy leaves Vancity.
Ally is leaving in 4 days, I’m gonna miss her but yeah, she’ll be back in December? I forgot that Nuisance was leaving too, I think she’s going to Ontario for school now? Woah, everybody’s leaving and I’m still getting buzzed in the parking lot with the hoes of North Van. I need a change of clothes.
edit: why the fuck do textbooks have to be so expensive?
Update: If I haven’t already told you, the Metro Vancouver published one of my letters. Sci Fi’s magazine, the Sci Fi wire has also done the same.
I’ve been writing/e-mailing letters for two days, I don’t think I can “save” Stargate lol. That and I’ve been preaching to the wrong crowd.
Thank you for your e-mail. The positive feedback regarding Stargate SG-1 is greatly appreciated and will be forwarded to the appropriate parties. Unfortunately at this time we have no further news in regards to the cancellation of the hit program. The show is currently purchased by SPACE from MGM Television and we are not involved in production. SPACE does not have the means to produce this show.
The people at NBC Universal haven’t even been kind enough to reply. It’s kind of sad to see that our tv stations can’t afford to make their own programming. Is the CBC all we really have?
Update:
I feel your pain. Unfortunately, you have reached SCI FI Wire, the daily news service of SCIFI.COM. I have nothing to do with the programming or policies of SCI FI Channel.
Better you should direct your comments to SCI FI Channel by snail mail, 21st Floor, 30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, NY 10112. If you must send e-mail, send it to feedback@scifi.com.
Alternatively, if you’d like to voice your feelings about Stargate SG-1 in a public forum, you can send a letter to the editor of Science Fiction Weekly at scifiweekly@scifi.com.
Good luck and thanks for your kind note.

Snakes on a Plane is out in 4 days! I want to host another Chicken and Basketball night afterwards but it’s too short on notice. I need to get some new flats.
