I’m only two tracks in at the moment but so far all I hear is awesome. Prozzak have reinvented themselves and it is glorious.
The instrumentals have greatly improved from their previous synth-like pop-sound and the songs are somewhat edgier and have a feeling of remorse. Track three, “How Beautiful”, sounds almost like a 60’s or 70’s love ballad with the melodic guitar strumming and his pitch changing. Glorious! It sounds somewhat like the Monkees or possibly the Beatles with a hint of Ben Folds and Beck.
Track four, “Just Friends”, just knocked me off my feet. They lyrics surged with emotion and bam a powerful rock ballad blast. Here’s a small taste:
you said you were missing me and that I should call you… and after all the things we’ve been through I can’t believe we can’t do what friends do…. But if we are just friends — then how come I’m crying? You left… but inside I’m dyin’ … pretend that I’m lyin’ — you know that I’m tryin to let you go free if that’s what you need from me.
Oh so emo, oh so awesome. I’m gonna go for some pizza and continue listening to this masterpiece.
