Cruel Cruel World Redux

December 1st, 2005 | 2 Comments | Posted in Blog, Music, Reviews

I’m only two tracks in at the moment but so far all I hear is awesome. Prozzak have reinvented themselves and it is glorious.

The instrumentals have greatly improved from their previous synth-like pop-sound and the songs are somewhat edgier and have a feeling of remorse. Track three, “How Beautiful”, sounds almost like a 60’s or 70’s love ballad with the melodic guitar strumming and his pitch changing. Glorious! It sounds somewhat like the Monkees or possibly the Beatles with a hint of Ben Folds and Beck.

Track four, “Just Friends”, just knocked me off my feet. They lyrics surged with emotion and bam a powerful rock ballad blast. Here’s a small taste:

you said you were missing me and that I should call you… and after all the things we’ve been through I can’t believe we can’t do what friends do…. But if we are just friends — then how come I’m crying? You left… but inside I’m dyin’ … pretend that I’m lyin’ — you know that I’m tryin to let you go free if that’s what you need from me.

Oh so emo, oh so awesome. I’m gonna go for some pizza and continue listening to this masterpiece.

Go get Cruel Cruel World off of Amazon or an autographed copy at Maplemusic. If you happen to get the autographed version don’t forget to tell our Maplemusic friends that you heard about it through Near Fantastica.

If you’re ready… PROZZAK!

Anyway, like I said before, they redrew them. They redrew Simon again too. He looks better than the last version but not as cool as neckless Simon.

Watch their video via MuchMusic.

I think I liked her better with pink hair but she’s a stone cold fox any colour.

Gwen Stefani

I got a copy of her latest album, Love Angel Music Baby, and I have to admit it’s awesome. It’s highly suggestive and that’s probably the reason guys like me secretly bought it. That and it’s nice to stare.

Gwen marching

Why didn’t my highschool have a sexy all girl marching band? That really upsets me :(. Anyway, the random Japanese influence was pretty damn cool too as currently I’m obsessed with the Japanese. I’m still thinking about doing six months in Japan but I’m betting that could be tricky for Comp Sci.

Madonna?

She dresses up like Madge now but the younger, foxier Madge. Oh man, what a fox.

Pictures stolen from the J-Blog. I really wish I’d known about the Gwen concert more than 2 days in advance.

Prozzak’s back!

No, not cancer but your tits. The Black Eyed Peas have surprisingly rocked in this one song. I think I’ve heard “My Humps” before when some hoe played it for me but I totally did not hear what that girl was saying. It’s bonerific.

Damn. <3
