  1. Today
  2. Last week
  3. If you both want to P.M me your e-mails I can just send a direct copy tonight so you don't have to wait for me to get it uploaded online. Might be a bit faster that way.
  4. @daniel_v when you post the song "Globes" can you please send me a private message. Thanks very much appreciated.
  5. I have never heard of this "Globes" track but would love to listen! Any chance you could put it up in the Lounge?
  6. just today it was announced that 3, 4, 5 will be remastered. You can buy the set for $60 now but only Yakuza 3 is playable. 4 comes out in a month or two and 5 in February. They also have an origins pack with 0,1,2 Kiwami is fun. If you like 0 you will love them all.
  7. Did you find it? If not I do have a copy of that. Think it was posted sometime around the mid 2000s on his site. Really cool instrumental track. When it was downloaded originally the name that came with it was "Globes". However, I don't know if that was the name Matt gave it or just the name that the person who originally copied it gave it. I'll see if I can't make a copy of it available here or somewhere on the internet sometime this week when I have a day off. Agreed. That is one of the most amazing tracks of music I have ever heard in my life (and that's despite the fact that the production on it is only from a demo). I still listen to it to this day. It's one of the few times Matt has ever let his influence from Explosions in the Sky show. The different sonic landscapes he explores are just mind bending and so soulful. I may see if I can make that available again too.
  8. I'll probably get into Kiwami next and eventually make me way up to 6. I still need to finish Breath of the Wild lol, got sidetracked doing subquests.
  9. Ran some upgrades again. Hopefully nothing broken! Please let me know if anything's not working as expected.
  10. Correction it wasn't hammers it was car horns.
  11. Not sure which one that was, but I was disappointed when he scrapped the 20 minute version of Something Like A Storm. I thought that was one of the best concepts he's had in a long time and I'm not sure why he decided not to run with it. Maybe logistically it would have just been too much of a hassle to rehearse and play live. But that demo still rocks.
  12. Anyone take notice of the outro with the ambient sounds when rolling the credit. I'm a big fan of his experimental stuff. I recall he had a track on the matthewgood.org site some years ago a track would automatically play it was all keys or an organ with a low deep resonating sound followed by basic sound flattened, I think I could hear hammers in the background I would kill to hear that track again.
  13. I can't imagine that there's a single MG release actually worth $900, much less $1500. I own that release - if I thought it was worth that kind of money, I'd stop playing it (and probably sell it). That particular release (it's "White", but it's got a little bit of a gray streak) is rare because it was made for the VIP packages on the Arrows tour, so there aren't that many of them. Nearly all of them are signed because it was part of the VIP package for the Arrows tour. (Mine's unsigned because I got it as a "thank you" for a charity donation. It was a completely unexpected surprise - my donation wasn't large amount of money.) I don't know why it'd be notably valuable - I like that album, but it's not highly sought after. Isn't Mikey Mackinon a user here? I saw this on Discogs - he posted a bunch of nonsense in the last couple of days about how stuff went for huge money on eBay "during the album release". Those numbers are absurd - he's lying his ass off. (And most of that information would be out of date and irrelevant to its current value.) https://www.discogs.com/user/mikeymackinon He's claiming $450 for the standard edition of Arrows on vinyl, but you can buy it for $25.99 on MG's website, for fuck's sake. $300 for Massey Hall on CD? WTF.
  14. Yakuza 0 is great. Once you complete it you have to play Yakuza 6. It's a must. Incredible game and if you are a wrestling fan the NJPW roster is in the game! Easily one of my favorite games. Kiwami and 2, are all fun as well. Yakuza is a series done the right way.
  15. $3500 for charity and a good cause sure why not? $2500 for a vinyl record?? I wouldn't pay that to hear Jesus and the Pope give me a 30 minute personal message. The thing with vinyl is that eventually you have a high chance of it being re-released such as with Avalanche. Sure it's a different color but does the change of color really drive a $2400 markup? In my opinion no.
  16. I have the complete Matthew Good collection with the exception of a few demo tapes. Anyway last week I obtained Arrows of Desire White Album, I paid $900 and I'm ok with that. It was the final piece of the puzzle. I was told the first 100 people who order from the Matthew Good store would receive a signed copy of the White Album. I was definitely one of the first to order I thin the invoice number was #6 or something. I received the Album along with some shirts but the Vinyl was the Black Album and came with a signed poster. I was a little bit upset but knew it was a long shot. I have been told this album has been auction off for charity at the rate $3500 and has a street value of $2500. I'm not sure what it is worth without the signature maybe $1500? Anyway, I can't wait for White Light to be released, I have been told the printing was prevented in order for the track Hopeless to be added to the release this is to prevent any mishaps like Last of the Ghetto Astronauts and the track Omissions of the Omen. What is your take on the subject?
  17. Earlier
  18. Weyes Blood was super good. Natalie Mering is a great songwriter and has an amazing voice. We can add Big Thief to my list of October shows. Considering going to see Pete Yorn.
  19. Moist - August 24th. The last time I saw David Usher was circa 2001. This should be interesting. I hope he sings Billie Jean. Tegan and Sara - October 10th. I look forward to hearing their Calgary high school stories, Jann Arden - November 8th Matthew Good - hopefully there will be a tour in the fall/winter
  20. one of the teaser videos with new music he posted ends with a black screen that just says "Matthew Good 2019"
  21. Finished Nier Automata and I don't even know what to say about that game except go play it. It's strange, it's touching, it's over the top, it bucks convention and it's just really really fun. Now onto Breath of the Wild.
  22. Add Clairo in October to my upcoming shows. Clairo is so good.
  23. Did anyone go to the show in Grand Bend? I'm looking at the setlist for the show am curious if the last 3 songs were written with the "/" symbol simply because who ever wrote the set list was lazy or because all 3 of those songs were combined. https://www.instagram.com/p/B0yeLj6gX_u/
  24. Warren was apparently getting close to being done with the mixing process back in June so hopefully you're right.
  25. Weyes Blood - August 14th Carly Rae Jepsen - August 29 K.Flay - Sept 9 In the last year or so I've seen: Laura Stevenson, Margaret Glaspy, Louise Burns, Trailerhawk, Now Now, Boygenius (Julien Baker/Phoebe Bridgers/Lucy Dacus, who also played their own sets during that show), Matt Good acoustic tour, Kina Grannis and some others that I probably can't remember.
  26. Four of his last five albums have been fall releases including his last three. In addition since Hospital music he has released a new album every two years and even going back to the MGB years every two years was the trend, the only time this was altered was WLRRR which came a year after Avalanche and Hospital Music three years after that. So im thinking we'll get an announcement soon for a mid fall release. Matt had these songs written last winter recorded last spring and basically has only played a few dates since so i imagine he'll be starting up another full tour before too long and the album release will be prior to that.
