  1. Rest in Peace, Geoff. Thanks for the music and memories. My sympathies to his wife, family, and friends.
  2. Powermongering/manipulation, for any reason, is not respectable, and not a trait that should be praised or practiced. But I know that I'm a minority with that line of thinking. I guess I should make it clear that I don't think all nudity in art is sexual objectification. I'm not religious, either. I didn't necessarily see overt objectification in that Merkley guy's stuff so much as it was trying too hard to be 'out there'. That and the pretentious set of question marks at the end of his name. In the immortal words of Homer J. Simpson, "Less artsy, more fartsy."
  3. 'Cause it was full of naked 'hot' chicks, I reckon. It ain't all deep with him.
  4. It seems interesting, but yeah, it won't last very long. I forsee many a disagreement in the comments betwixt posters relegated to a "take it to pm's, guys" rather than actually having an open dialogue where someone else could jump in. But perhaps I'm just feeling more cynical than usual today.
  5. To me, it wasn't even really risque ... anyone can drop their pants (or take pictures of such) and get attention. It was terribly obvious.
  6. I will try not to worry you I have seen things that you will never see Leave it to memory me and dare me to breathe I want you to remember
  7. I'm sure many of you have already heard, but I thought I'd post it here anyway. Menu Foods is contracted to make wet pet foods for numerous brands, including the more expensive store brands such as Iams, Nutro, & Eukanuba. Please visit this site - http://www.menufoods.com/recall/ - for specific information. This is very serious. The foods are causing renal failure, and deaths have been reported as well. ;)
  8. So many to choose from, I can't decide. I will freely admit to copping out. Outro ... Suburbia, Let's Get it On, Advertising on Police Cars, Life Beyond the Minimum Safe Distance, Flight Recorder from Viking 7, Change of Season, We're So Heavy. A bit of a trend towards the ballads/"power ballads" (I hate that term but it's better than "soft rock".) Intro ... While We Were Hunting Rabbits, Near Fantastica, Fated, Change of Season, Suburbia, Poor Man's Grey, Giant (but after the cheerleaders, when the lead guitar kicks in and makes it all floaty-like), Going All the Way.

Describe how you live: Failing the Rorschach Test 9. Describe how you love: Strangest One of All 10. What would you ask for if you had just one wish? Life Beyond the Minimum Safe Distance 11. Share a few words of wisdom: Put Out Your Lights 12. Now say goodbye: Deep Six
  10. House rules. It seems like some people need to go to , with the biggest stars from the hottest groups (in the early/mid 90's)! Too many yuppie scumbags around these parts! ;) (Quality of the video sucks, sorry.)
  11. Uhhh, thanks for, um, clearing that up. ;)
  12. I think I remember which one you're talking about, but I don't remember the character's name or if he wore a grenade belt/AK-47/spiffy cargo vest or not.
  13. I'm looking forward to hearing Merle's contributions, to hear how they differ stylistically from Matthew's, as well as Christian's & Dave's.
  14. I'm assuming Matthew accidentally left out an "of" inbetween "front" and "a". But yeah, I am, how the Brits say, "chuffed" to see that kind of title. Edit: Kind of makes me want to trade my 6000 LE for a Firebird. ;)
  15. First time I heard AMR on CFOX. Must have been mid-Fall, in 1995. The intro caught my ear as something I'd not heard before, and the lyrics were serious (I was all about the serious). I got LOTGA for Xmas that year. I was 13.
