  1. Girl Wedged Under a Firebird, Safer than a Bank and I'm a Window , three...eh... songs in a row. I like She's in it for the Money and True Love is just a great way to end a cathartic album .
  2. Wasn't Weapon also used on Alias? Edit - Found the answer to my own question: https://www.tunefind.com/show/alias/season-2/318

    Tour: 2018

I can't believe some yahoo (s) felt it appropriate to insert their opinions into Matt's personal life and wreck his interaction with the rest of us. Not that Matt posted here a lot, but when he did it meant a lot to me and you knew it meant a lot to him. To have lost that is infuriating. Not being an OLP fan I'll wait for a solo tour so that I can get the normal, full Matt experience =)
  4. I have my favorites on each album but Weapon and Lights of Endangered Species have stood out head and shoulders above the rest . Hearing Weapon on Alias was the song that got me over the hump and into Matt's music in a big way. Lights is a song that strikes a chord for me every time I hear it, I just stop and sing along.
  5. Thanks PlasticSoldier, I have the Canadian version, not the censored US version. I wonder why they changed the three songs, those totally change the flow of the album, I wonder how Matt feels about that.
  6. The burned cd went from Giant to Suburbia to something like Machine Gun....just totally random and disjointed. The gaps between songs when burning CD's was always a mystery. I'd set it for zero and it'd still feel like a pregnant pause between songs when on the actual album it'd flow seamlessly. Some fan I am, I didn't know there was a difference, I'll have to check when I get home, I bought it online and I don't remember where it shipped from. Is there an easy way to tell? What's the difference between the two?
  7. Seriously? MGB played in Utica? Totally would have been worth the drive. My regret is that a friend in college worked for a radio station in Poughkeepsie, heard BM and then burned a copy of the songs for me, out of order, and seemed disjointed so while I enjoyed it I wasn't that interested. I wish that when I heard it I ran out, got the album, listened to it the way it was meant to be heard and looked for a concert to go to back then. Instead I didn't picked up an actual copy of the album until after they broke up, realized how much I was wrong and missed out.
  8. I love Decades, I just wander around singing that song right now. I was worried when I downloaded the first couple available tracks after preordering the album. Days Come Down and Decades sounded to similar at first and it really bugged me. Now that Men at the Door is in between I am able to appreciate the two a whole lot more. Bullets in a Briefcase is haunting, powerful, and almost like it was a holdover of LOES (my favorite album).
  9. See, I've gone the other way. I love LOES, I can listen to that album constantly but AOD or CN I hardly ever turn on, Not saying they are bad albums, they just don't resonate with me, to each their own I guess.
  10. I don't use facebook or twitter so I hardly catch the demo's in time, that said the couple I have heard I like, but they haven't captured me. I feel the same way about Arrows, it was a good album but it just isn't something I listen to much - I'd rather listen to LOES.
  11. A few came to mind when reading the original post: "Never thought I'd live to see the day I'd be afraid of little kids playing in the streets" "Good morning beautiful - I've waited all my life - To watch you breathe in, stand up and decide - To set something, anything on fire?" "But live like slaves to die like kings"
  12. I dunno..about the middle I just kind of lost interest as it seemed to lose some steam that started with the movie. Saw Safety Not Guaranteed as well, 8.5 out of 10
  13. Perks of Being a Wallflower 6.0 out of 10 Not what I expected, not bad....just didn't keep me entertained
  14. finally got around to Iron Man 2....was ok, can't believe they had to forshadow the Avengers movie as part of the final scene. I also thought that sneaking in Thors hammer as an answer to what happend in New Mexico was pretty lame, though I haven't seen Thor yet to see if it was explained there.
  15. I'm reading The Surgeon, it's the first book in the series that the TV show Rizzoli and Isles is based on. It's a slow read right now, but the demeanor of the characters in the books seems to match the tv show really well.
