  1. A tiny little home for us hooligans to come and hide once in awhile, i love it. I've probably put more hours & words into this site than facebook/twitter/instagram combined throughout my life. Thanks Anton! Here's to another 16!
  2. I've been in "queue" since September 25th, and they flat out stopped responding to my emails. Only reason I even care at this point is so MRG doesn't get my money, and I can put it right back into MG's online store.
  3. Playing a private show for American Express cardholders, rock & roll (jks).. It says it's located in my town, and I'm curious if he's planning on doing an outdoor performance because I have the perfect idea on where he plans on playing. A nice throwback to 2014.
  4. This interview describes a little bit of what you're looking for. https://www.theglobeandmail.com/life/from-bad-to-good/article1333990/ I do remember reading about him spending a few weeks in Whistler working on AOB songs, if he had a back-pocket song like "Weapon" or "Avalanche" I bet it would have made the album. If anyone can correct me I also think the AOB tour never happened because of 9/11, they planned a U.S tour but could never leave Canada due to all flights being grounded, thus causing them to breakup. That's leaving 1 year for Matt to create Rabbits (in the article) and use the politics & everything happening in the news as a muse to forge together Avalanche. It's impressive considering some of that time would have even been spent in the studio in 2002 (Weapon was released as a single in October 2002). PLUS a year after he releases White Light Rock & Roll Review in 2004. Side note: Near Fantastica was apparently written in '96 & A Long Way Down was the last song written on the album, from the words of wiki. Nonetheless for any artist to pull off those type of in-depth albums in such a short span of time win my vote.
  5. Im treating the Stones like my Ozzy ticket, up in the air this point with their ages. Even if shows start back up in 2021, I don't think we should be rushing 70 year old's on stage in this climate lol.
  6. I'm currently awaiting a response from MRG. Couldn't roll my eyes hard enough after reading the word "credits" after spending the year fighting to get back my refunds for TOOL...Rage...Stones... from the giant Ticketmaster. Heeere We Go Again. If they do give out refunds without stating it anywhere and actually helping their customers, doubt I'd ever give them my money again. Matt's team is scrambling on social media trying to help people fortunately.
  7. Time well spent! Fingers crossed for more online concerts.
  8. Stumbled across this article. Oof. https://www.billboard.com/articles/business/touring/9333748/live-nation-global-pause-tours-concerts-coronavirus
  9. The NBA just postponed their season, It's very likely every other league will follow their lead by the end of the week. So if major bands start cancelling their tours, I can't see this tour proceeding as well. I have front row seats for TOOL & Rage Against the Machine this year, last thing I want is for those shows to not happen, but that's the selfishness in me talking because I just so happen to be ABSOLUTELY SICK AS A DOG, from a coworker who just returned from her 3 month trip from Japan.... I might be infected. "This is people's lives at stake. This isn't about basketball. ... This is a global pandemic."
  10. Been awhile folks. Hopefully going to his Vancouver shows, fingers crossed.
  11. Quite possible we never would have gotten MGB if it wasn't for this man's influence on Matt.
  12. Not a fan of the "lyric video" trend but this is probably one of his best music videos to date, very addicting to watch. Love the colours.
  13. I never noticed the alternate tracklist on the vinyl vs CD until someone brought it up on Matt's IG. CD: 1.Pledge of Allegiance 2.Lullaby for the New World Order 3.Weapon 4.In a World Called Catastrophe 5.Avalanche 6.21st Century Living 7.While We Were Hunting Rabbits 8.Bright End of Nowhere 9.Near Fantastica 10.Song for the Girl 11.Double Life 12.A Long Way Down 13.House of Smoke & Mirrors Vinyl: A1.Pledge Of Allegiance A2.Lullaby For The New World Order A3.Weapon A4.Song For The Girl B1.In A World Called Catastrophe B2.Avalanche B3.21st Century Living C1.Near Fantastica C2.Bright End Of Nowhere C3.Double Life D1.While We Were Hunting Rabbits D2.A Long Way Down D3.House Of Smoke And Mirrors
  14. The rest of Matt's vinyl is on its way! https://www.instagram.com/p/Bc8L-r3h61W/?hl=en
  15. Seems the movie tried being different for the sake of being different, the story did more harm than good to the Star Wars Universe. It also wrecks everything JJ tried building in Force Awakens. It's a good sci-fi movie, terrible SW movie.
  16. If in a week this isn't deemed the worst movie in Star Wars history then I've lost faith in humanity. The theatre I was in walked out like car crash victims, there wasn't an applause or anything. This movie destroys everything before it, I would hope J.J Abrams can reshoot an entire film & end the trilogy with a hat-trick. Rotten Tomatoes audience score is at a 56% & Mark Hamill didn't even like this script.
  17. Josh from Queens of the Stone Age kicked a photographer in the face, stuff like that makes me not want to listen to them. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bcg3ffCjXBw/ Now, in a statement post to Queens Of The Stone Age’s socials, Homme says, “Last night, while in a state of being lost in performance, I kicked over various lighting and equipment on our stage. Today it was brought to my attention that this included a camera held by photographer Chelsea Lauren. I did not mean for that to happen and I am very sorry. “I would never intentionally cause harm to anyone working at or attending one of our shows and I hope Chelsea will accept my sincere apology.” Read more at http://musicfeeds.com.au/news/qotsas-josh-homme-issues-statement-kicking-photographer/#AqBK1b566cyDIx5x.99
  18. I bought this awhile ago thinking it would be something worth sharing. Just from looking at the limited information I could find online, figured it would be tracks from his MGB performances in Germany already on youtube. Got it in the mail today and unfortunately it's a mini disc with 30 second snippets of studio tracks. Bummer but oh well, paid $10 for it. https://www.discogs.com/Jimmies-Chicken-Shack-Matthew-Good-Band-I-Mother-Earth-Tour-Des-Monats/release/2767510
  19. New lyric video for "Days Come Down".
  20. Any chance you can repost the photos? Not showing up on mobile, is it just me?
  21. I agree, bummer his account had to go though because all of his comments are deleted or atleast I can't find them. That's years of information hopefully archived.
  22. I found his statement confusing, did someone personally message him or are people just discussing it within The Bored's private messages. Not that I think we should get into it, it is what it is unfortunately. Maybe he'll come back around, I think we are one of the healthier forums on the web. Even though OLP's forum thinks we are whining too much over this tour hahaha. HEY I'm fine with the tour, wasn't me.
  23. Anyone else enjoying EA's public spanking? Man.. I just want a great Star Wars game, they keep canceling games with alot of potential. Visceral games coulda gave us the Uncharted version of Star Wars, could you imagine? Even the mechanics of Assassins Creed would be great.
  24. From what I can see in the seating charts for the arena shows is the stage will be closer to the middle, leaving one half of the arena sectioned off. This tour will likely sell out the more I think about it. Best case scenario for any of the sold-out arena dates is they keep pushing the stage further back if there's more demand for tickets.
  25. See, even reading about the possibility of hearing Tripoli live has increased my attention significantly. I'd like to hear the new album, don't mind the singles but just to throw in a few rarities is what makes or breaks going to a concert. Songs like Tripoli with Avalanche? I'm sold. Thumbs up to the idea of the acoustic show too. Wonder if there's a possibility to go into pre-MGB, there's a few classics like "Go Fly Blind" that I'd like to hear.
