ok, i'd like to end this list now, being that I started it.

It had some quality critically-acclaimed albums that most people who appreciate music as an art form, and not just something you have playing while you're driving to work or cleaning your apartment.

Radiohead, Talking Heads, The Clash. Each quality artists.

but GODSMACK??? are you fucking kidding me????? This was supposed to be a "GREAT ALBUM" list, not what you and your junior high buddies listen to after your weekly circle jerk party, where Bobby opened his eyes, so he's totally a fag now.

Bruce Springsteen and Godsmack will never ever be listed together on the same list.

Whoever put that, you should be embarrassed.

yes, i'm taking my ball and i'm going home

You never stated any rules, and I love Godsmack's music.

And if you cared for Top 100 list so much, why didn't you just make a full list and post it and see what other people think afterwards. There's quiet a few bands that I don't agree with in that list.

But if you want a replacement then I would say Pink Floyd for the win

not so much. i enjoy them, but i fail to see how they could EVER make a greatest albums list. 'cause, let's be honest, here. they're just not that talented.

from Wikipedia:

Although their initial career lasted only three years and produced only four singles and one studio album, the Sex Pistols have been described by the BBC as "the definitive English punk rock band."[1] The Pistols are widely credited with initiating the punk movement in the United Kingdom[2] and creating the first generation gap within rock and roll.[3]

It's not the album, it's the importance of it's release. I can't really see another one like that coming along. I'm tired.

the sex pistols do not deserve to be on any best of list.

agreed. it ended when godsmack was thrown on, and when people thought they could get away with trying to add every hip album ever. not gonna fly.

i think the saddest part about this whole exercise is that out of the 28 artists that were chosen, everyone on the list is white, and aside from feist (who was axed from sodamn's own list) there were absolutely no female artists present whatsoever.

Black people don't make good music. They only know how to rap.

I kid.
