I interviewed the band Easily Amused last year at the college radio station I worked at.

and my sister had Craig Montoya from Everclear hit on her and get her number. I told her that she should date him....then I could do some real name dropping

Walking back from the nearest pizza shop after a Modest Mouse gig, Isaac & Tom were outside shaking hands & talking with the hardcores, so we stopped & talked. Isaac wore an eye patch throughout the gig, which we thought was just his craic, but there was a disturbing amount of blood around his eye - which we later found out was him being bottled at the previous gig.

I met Stevie Ray a year before he died. He was gracious and friendly, and he talked to us for a few minutes, he autographed my cousin's guitar, and taught him a few licks.

Norah was nice, we were there for the DMB soundcheck, and she was sitting with us watching them jam, she asked where we were from, and we ended up hanging with her for a little while.

The only bands that ever came to the place I used to live were random pop/punk/Christian bands. Actually one of the guys from a band came up to me and was talking to myself, my sister and a couple friends of mine, then went onstage and I went "ooooh, crap, he's in that band..."

So no one worth mentioning mostly...

Apperantly some guy from a local-ish (they have a CD out and people across the province said they know them) band lives in my village, though I've yet to run into him.

Oh and my grandfather has played at the jazz & blues festival a couple times and is well known around the city he lives in, and I know him.

Yep. Noone famous. Too bad...

Jay from Sloan - Talked to him for quite a while before a show last fall. Super nice guy.

Pat Stewart (Matt's drummer.)

The Waking Eyes

Thornley's guitarist - Invited my friend and I to join them on their 'party bus'. We didn't go.

The lead singer/bassist for the Ladies and the Gentlemen - Talked to him after a Matt Good show. He was very drunk. He wanted my friend and I to go to a strip club with him. Upon declining that offer, he invited us to go to Edmonton with the band. Again, we didn't go...

The only artist I went out of my way to meet was Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree.

I asked him when his ambient album was coming out...he said sometime in the summer. It still isn't out. What a liar.

but in all honesty, very nice guy.

I don't think I would ever bother waiting around after a show to meet bands again though.
