The Boondocks Are Back! Season 2

Recommended Posts

The Boondocks are back on Adult Swim...the first episode was hilarious...Sneaking into a movie theatre, and bringing your own food...(I do bring my own snacks sometimes...fruit, or something, and my like all natural juice.) The homage to the old Kung Fu movies was the coolest.

That part bothers me too...but as funny as it is...that's the reality of young afro-american kids growing up...That Christmas episode is more true to life than you can imagine...when my mom remarried...for awhile we were pretty poor(stepdad, is afraid of work)

and we had those Christmases when Santa didn't show...I remember hating the sight of Santa Claus... That episode was a good example of the kind of hurt a child feels when they are let down so hard, by something they believe in so deeply.

Well maybe I didn't look into it far enough...a little like South Park is atrociously vulgar, it's still brilliant most of the time.

The show is on Teletoon (a channel in Canada that shows only cartoons) at 9h30 pm right after the Simpsons. Once, after "The Simpsons" was over, the Boondocks started and I heard him say the 'n' word about 7 times in a 4 minute span. But you know we have a 6 years old boy at home and we can't have him saying that word in school you know. Especially since he goes to a very very multi ethnic school.

There's also a Boondocks commercial that runs after I'd say 7pm. The boy keeps saying "whore" during the 30 fucking seconds it's on. Having to forbid words one after the other and explaining why is annoying after a while.

It's airing here in the states at 11:30pm on Cartoon Network.

It's just hilarious, as much as I don't like the N-word, I give them a pass on it...they don't use it to use it, it's actually funny.
