I weep for the youth. They are the one's that will have to lead the country when they get older, and this is what they do for "fun." am I alone on this? If you asked a lot of them, especially the one's in the area I live in (Fargo, North Dakota) they will say how "there's nothing to do. and it's so boring around here.)

no need to get so defencive. i was just wondering, because you make it sound as though theres some huge disconnect between you and the "youths," which you blame almost entirely on age... not because maybe you're just more sensible, or more mature. i'm assuming that you never did this sort of thing when you were young, so obviously it's not something that one does when they're young, or because of, as you put it, theire "youthful wisdom." sure, younger people are doing these things, but i wouldn't be so bold to say that they're doing it because they're 6 or 7 years younger than you.

 

had this been a case of people huffing gas, which is a major problem in the northern parts of canada, you wouldn't have blamed it on age...

The choking game is as old as humanity.

 

Of course kids will look for ways to get high - after all, they're legally prohibited from getting intoxicated the way adults do. The thing is, getting high doesn't have to be self-destructive. So I'm thinking of slangin' buds to kids at the high school. I could undercut the rip-off artists who sell pre-rolled joints of shake at ludicrous prices to kids who don't know any better, make a quick buck, and do the community a favour. ;)
