Hello. I'd like to know what you guys think. My musical intake is limited. I nominate Era Vulgaris by Queens of the Stone Age. So far it has proven the most listenable and all around great album for me.

Oh and Hospital Music as well. So far I feel like that will stand the test of time pretty well. What else do you got?

explosions in the sky - all of a sudden i miss everyone.

i love hospital music, but i rarely listen to it all. in fact, i haven't listened to the entire album since i first got it, and i always skip the two covers. the explosions in the sky album is a perfect album. i can listen to it from beginning to end, and it all flows beautifully together.

BT is regularly known as a Trance artist, but this particular album is more ambient. No Trance whatesoever. I've also heard it been described as "modern classical".

Read more about it here:

Wikipedia's article on "This Binary Universe"

thanks. descriptions like "quite possibly one of the most beautiful albums i've ever listened to" capture my interest. and that wiki article made me more interested. i'm downloading it.

grinderman is up there for me. i don't think i can pick a favorite overall, though. i've got a list in the works, and i'll post MP3s to go along with it.

i agree with some of the albums already listed, namely QOTSA, matt, and the national.

i'd also like to add:

spoon - gagagagaga

battles - mirrored

and

the dillinger escape plan - ire works

Everyone should really go after the Kevin Drew album. Back to front a fantastic record.
