Hello. I'd like to know what you guys think. My musical intake is limited. I nominate Era Vulgaris by Queens of the Stone Age. So far it has proven the most listenable and all around great album for me.

Oh and Hospital Music as well. So far I feel like that will stand the test of time pretty well. What else do you got?

In Rainbows - Radiohead

Hissing Fauna - Of Montreal

personally I like Weekend in the City by Bloc Party a ton - but it wasn't really that highly reviewed. One of my top 3 though.

explosions in the sky - all of a sudden i miss everyone.

i love hospital music, but i rarely listen to it all. in fact, i haven't listened to the entire album since i first got it, and i always skip the two covers. the explosions in the sky album is a perfect album. i can listen to it from beginning to end, and it all flows beautifully together.

BT - This Binary Universe. Quite possibly one of the most beautiful albums I've ever listened to.

BT is regularly known as a Trance artist, but this particular album is more ambient. No Trance whatesoever. I've also heard it been described as "modern classical".

I'm so happy that you are. I wish it had a little more publicity, it really is quite genius. Too bad you won't have the DVD, because some of the animations are spectacular.

grinderman is up there for me. i don't think i can pick a favorite overall, though. i've got a list in the works, and i'll post MP3s to go along with it.

i agree with some of the albums already listed, namely QOTSA, matt, and the national.

i'd also like to add:

spoon - gagagagaga

battles - mirrored

and

the dillinger escape plan - ire works

Everyone should really go after the Kevin Drew album. Back to front a fantastic record.

Hey Audio of Being and Soundless Space, how would you describe Fear of a Blank Planet. It's inspired by a book I quite like, and I'd like to give it a listen, but I'm not sure what kind of music it is.

And I forgot about Grinderman, awesome album.
