Juno Nomination

Recommended Posts

I highly doubt he would pull an Ellen and get annoyed if he doesn't win, He made it clear he doesn't like the idea of awards shows if he went it would be because he's supporting his fans. Who cares if he wins or not, I think he should go. Get some air.

Yes. He complained about being home too much. Now he has a perfect opportunity to go out and do something.

Not that it'll affect me one way or another, but I don't know why he made an issue of this on his blog to begin with.

I'm probably in a slim minority who really would like to see Matt show up at the Junos this year. I know he doesn't like the attention and he doesn't need the accolade, but this album is far too important to let it go without at least a little bit of a celebration. He doesn't need to perform or anything...and if he wins and doesn't want the statue, he can always auction it off for charity (or use it as a door stopper, his choice really). Just show up because he knows he made an amazing record.

Besides, the Junos have turned into a one sided joke that I'm suckered into watching every year in hopes that it may one day sit up and realize that Canadian talent doesn't come with a price tag. As shitty as it may get and I'll end up bitching about it in the end, when it boils down to it, I watch it to cheer on the nominated underdogs. It'd be nice to see something truly exciting for once - and what's more exciting than to see true Canadian talent take the spotlight away from Avril and Celine? (And we know he will. Matt Good will be attending the Junos. Enough said.)

Maybe he could give the trophy to his mom. Weren't his other Junos stolen out of his dressing room or something?

I'm actually quite indifferent if he shows up or not. I never watch award shows anyway. It would be nice to see him recognized for his work though.

I don't know how the Juno's are, but with the Grammy's in the U.S. recently, there was a huge surprise. The winner of Album of the Year was a jazz cd and it beat out Amy Winehouse and Kanye and all of them. I don't know if that means something cool could happen for the Juno's, but my spidey sense says Finger 11 has it in the bag. >.< What's worse than that, though, is having to hear some wacko on American Idol sing it (Paralyzer)...

Me too...

There's nothing special about her at all.

I third that motion! Her lyrics are mundane, she sounds like a man when says "no no no/go go go," she spews out "Blake" lyrics for her man all the time, the background music (while quite jazzerous) is not very intricate, and she is a horror to look at (THE TEETH!). I guess it just goes to illustrate that our society (the AngloSphere)prides itself in idolizing people who won't go to rehab.

Finger 11 will win. They're up for three awards and playing. I am not performing, nor was I asked to.

Also, rock album isn't always televised, so it might be handed out the night before. Either way, ya, probably not a good chance of me going.

Matt loses the Juno, wins the bet. Finger 11 did win 'Rock Album of the Year' so says Wikipedia.
