Nada Surf New Album

I bought the new Nada Surf Album today online but won't get it for a week. They streamed some of their songs on the website but I didn't listen to them yet. Any thoughts on the album?

I'm a huge Nada Surf fan... this album is pretty weak.

Their slowest yet.

they music isnt bad, but they seemes destined to be ties to 'popular' and one hit wonders. the new sutff soudns the same..

No love at all eh? I am a bit surprised, but no worries. Everytime I see them in Montreal there are hundreds to people there. Wierd.

 

I agree though that this album is a bit weak.

yes they will always be cursed by "popular" but im a big fan of them otherwise.

see these bones(1st song on the cd) is a really really really awesome song, the rest is pretty forgettable as of right now.

 

weight is a gift, proximity effect, and lets go are good. even the first one is good.

 

Do they have a record deal in the US now?

 

are they more popular in canada? as in/ on the radio at all?

i would say they are more popular in canada...at least ive heard a song or two on the edge in toronto and even and interview they did on the station before one of their shows. As far as america...at least here in buffalo ive never heard anything besides popular 10 years ago...but the new rock station here blows

good album... I even saw them live a couple of weeks ago in Madrid and they played as great as always... the new songs sound pretty well live, specially "I like what you say" and "See these bones", two of my favorite ones...

 

and, as you know, one of the members is from my city, Madrid ;) and they always give us a "special" treatment when they play in Madrid!
