Doesn't look like they were hacked. It does seem to be DNS issues.

 

(mt) Media Temple Engineers are currently investigating an issue relating to our nameservers that started around ~10:00PM Pacific Time. At this time the cause of the problem is unclear. It appears that we are having intermittent difficulties with proper name resolution, resulting in some websites and mail services not functioning properly in some cases.
