I was thinking about this while driving home today. Are there any guitar hero or rock band players out there? What Matthew Good (Band) songs would you want to play on Guitar Hero?

 

Everything is Automatic

Load me up

Near Fantastica

I don't know if I'm the only one here who thinks this, but I adore the solo in Big City Life. I've always been able to picture it as a Guitar Hero song.

 

Having said that, I think Hello Time Bomb or Load Me Up would be the choice for the game makers.

 

I actually wish deep down inside they would do a Guitar Hero: Canada and make sure that a good portion of the game is dedicated to the rock stuff from the '90's, early 2000's.

On Guitar Hero II, people found a way to hack the PS2 version so you can load any song onto it. I don't know the specifics but it can be done, sounds like its a big process though and you need be pretty handy/tech saavy. I think it involves actually opening up the PS2 and modifying it. If you just do a google search it will come up with a bunch on info on how to do it. I looked into it a while back. thats why you can search youtube for almost any song on guitar hero and it will come up with someone playing it.

yeah, there is software that does that apparently. From what I understand, the process involves...

 

loading the song into a program that maps out the notes and exports it into the proper format

 

somehow replacing the normal songs on the game with your custom songs, again using software of some sort.

 

burning a new copy of the game

 

and playing it on a PS2 that is modified to play burnt games

I personally think Guitar Hero is really quite boring, although it fun when you first start playing it. I agree though, I wouldn't mind playing some Matt Good songs on there. I think my choices would be songs like Load Me Up, Everything is Automatic and Time Bomb.

I came third the last one I was in, and that was without actually owning the game.

I always thought there should have been Matthew Good songs on guitar hero, I am trying to think of what I was listening to the other day that I thought would make an awesome song.
