While on youtube after reading AndrewfromBC's topic about Indestructible, I stumbled upon a bunch of live videos from SnowJob 99 (during the recording of Beautiful Midnight)

Who the hell is this void999 person? They sent me a private message on last.fm telling me I might be interested in a matt good bio like, last week.

 

And they have footage of like, agoraphobe being finished. Who is this person???

These are great to see, there aren't many videos of MGB live on youtube.

 

These are awesome, the energy is great. I would say Matt is definitly a better singer now than he was then. Although there just seems to be another element to MGB live than there is to Matt's performances now. Not saying either is really better.

 

Hmm... seems now that they are all unavailable.

Ok that is bizarre. Are these videos working for anyone else right now? I was watching random videos from void999 and all of a sudden everyone I click says it's no longer available. I try a few times and it keeps doing the same thing and then Strangest One of All suddenly works only to say it's no longer available again after another click. I didn't think these had been up for very long and I have no clue why they'd all of a sudden decide to remove them all.

 

I went to the homepage of Youtube and clicked a few random videos and they worked so I don't know if it's just a Youtube problem.

 

Ok, I've clicked on a few videos of his now and they're working so it must just be something screwy with the Tube or void was fiddling with them for a bit.

A truly cool find! I love "My Out Of Style Is Coming Back", and it the vid started at my favorite part. I never knew the notes at the end were played by Glen of a guitar. Wow, i always thought they were done on a keyboard. Can't say i've ever heard that type of tone come out of a guitar before lol.

 

Matt's hair is awful there haha. He looks like the guy from 'The Verve' or one of the Oasis brothers.

 

Pew i'd give you some free NF points for the nice find if the NF store was up. YOU LOSE!!!!!

he is using the digitech whammy 1 for that part and playing notes at the octave on the 12th so you are getting one octave higher than normal followed by notes that are one octave above that when the pedal is engaged. he uses the same peddle a lot on the audio of being (outro solo for carmelina, and man of action) and christian thor valdson uses it quite a bit on avalance (double life, song about the girl).

 

jonny greenwood, the edge, tom morello, and many more use the same pedal, it is absolutely great

damn cool! thanks. I know the pedal you're talking about, ive seen it in stores (its bright red). I'm thinking of getting a digitech multi-effects processor pedal (rp250) soon, i'm think it may have the Whammy pedal effect built in. NEAT!

 

BTW do you know anything about multi-effects processors for electric guitar? Are the Digitech ones good, or u recommend another thats under $200?
