Album of the Year: Wasn't too impressed by most the choices, so I gave it to Mother Mother....though Human Highway was alright

Come on! Wolf Parade, Mother Mother, Human Highway? How about Matthew freaking Good? Clearly the only option on that list. ;)

 

This is a MG forum and thread, what are you doing not voting for Matthew Good and instead things no one's heard of? :angry:

 

And I'm not sure why you'd feel weird voting for Matt. He didn't do much? He produced a good live album of a very good performance, what's he supposed to have done to be truly worthy?

as much as i'd like to vote for matt for artist and album of the year, to be honest, he/the album doesn't really deserve it. he's still my favourite artist of all time, but this year metric takes the cake on both counts. i'll vote for him next year once vancouver comes out.

I voted Matt Good as the Artist but I gave my album vote to The Ghost Is Dancing for the album Battles On. I discovered them through the radio station I'm doing my practicum at. I've been enjoying it thouroughly.

i'd probably vote for an album of new material before i'd vote for a live album of things i've been hearing for years, unless i didn't like any of the other choices. i wonder if that means i shouldn't be posting here. let me know, manchawhateverthefuckyournameis.
