Regina Spektor's Latest: Far

I know there's a lot of Regina fans on the Bored. Has anyone heard her new album? It's decent, but a lot more poppy than her other works. It's definitely an evolution from Begin to Hope, in terms of radio-friendliness, and that seems to be the direction she's moving in.

I think 'Machine' is a really cool song

Listening to it right now actually, as I bought it and Soviet Kitsch about 3 weeks ago and totally forgot I did so, and I really like it. And while I think it is more "poppy" like Owen said, it's pretty solid all the way through, and I think I like it more than Begin to Hope.

I like it. First listen I wasn't overwhelmed, but the next few listens of songs like "Human of the Year", "Genius Next Door", and "The Calculation" helped let them sink in a little and now I'm a big fan of pretty much the whole album. I think it's solid up until maybe the last two songs, which are the least memorable.

I agree with the statement about the last two songs, now that I think about it. The Calculation, Eet and Folding Chair are probably my faves so far.

Yeah, the album is very good. Laughing With, Eet, and Genius Next Door are my favourites so far.
