Well this is certainly fantastic, once again his lyrics out shine again, and I love the strings.

The Last Parade.. first time I've heard it, been forcing myself not to listen to any of the demos.

 

I had many chills go down my spine the first time I listened to it. Way too excited for the new album.

 

In my opinion, this version is waaaay better than the demo. Based on the demo I would have never guessed it to be the single.

Edit: the amped up vocals in the second verse are awesome. The added bit of "push" ads a lot to that part of the song.

I've heard so many versions of this song, I think it's my favourite from the album now. This album feels like a spiritual sequel to Avalanche lol.

 

And I agree that Bad Pennies would've been cool though.

The progression itself is very familiar to his other songs, but the song itself is just awesome.

Indeed it is. Also, "breaks" should be "brakes".

 

I also enjoy how some of the piano in the opening/verses has been changed to a guitar lick in the final version.
