it's just okay. i don't like the first two songs at all. or johnny guitar. i like the fixer, amongst the waves and unthought known. some other songs on it are growing on me, but s/t was way better, as well as everything else, except no code, which is still better in its first half than this.

I think Backspacer is their best album since ... Avocado. I like all their stuff, some albums may not be as consistent as others, but each has some real gems. It seems like every album since Vitalogy, according to music critics, is their best since Vitalogy. Unfortunate for them that they didn't take the time to really examine No Code to Riot Act, some of which may not be as instantly catchy as the others, but if you dig deep those albums are quite rewarding, just as good but just more "experimental" and more subtle.

I can listen to backspacer from front to cover. It's not Ten... but it's damn good.

Favourite track would have to be Force of Nature.
