It's hard to tell where Matt will go next because he can do so many things so effectively. It's hard to pigeon hole him into what's coming next. He can do the straight up rock and roll thing as witnessed by most of White Light, he can do the over the top wonderfully meticulous masterpieces we hear on Avalanche, he could easily do an acoustic folk/blues record as witnessed by a lot of his recent acoustic demos and some of the guitar work on songs like Champions (the solo is so bluesy). He could easily do something personal along the lines of Hospital Music. Hell, he could even probably pull off a country type record of songs like Empty Road and I'd eat that shit up.
