I've uploaded Matt's rants from the Nov. 15th show in Calgary. The quality is lackluster at best, but beggars can't be choosers (I recorded with my iPod). I had a nosey friend who played with the settings and thus ruined the recording of the show, but the rants survived okay. Anyway, a couple of people have mentioned interest in hearing the rant about Ozzy, so voila:

PM me if there are any problems.

Thanks.

I wouldn't be suprised if Matt went on tour again in like a year or something and played some random stuff from different albums. It seems like he wants to do this but obviously can't right now because he's promoting Vancouver and only has time to play a few other well known songs, which makes sense. Anyway, I can imagine Matt opening the first show of the tour with Man of Action, oh God how I would love to be there!

I would love a Matt Good "album" tour, where he played just album songs and such for the hardcore. Even if he just played smaller venues. Half acoustic, half band. Whatever. I would pay $100 to hear Change of Season, Advertising on Police Cars, or Born to Kill live.

Oh my god Born To Kill. Yes. Do want.

Yeah, for stuff like that, I'd easily pay $100 or more. Advertising on Police Cars with a full band would probably blow me away as well...

Advertising on Police Cars live with a full band is mindblowing. Had the priviledge to hear it a couple of years ago. Just amazing.

And I have also heard Near Fantastica live. Sadly, I didn't appreciate the song as much at the time and only years later realized how great it was.

I think there is only one song I'm really wanting to hear live and never have: Prime Time Deliverence.

if you saw the avalanche tour at all, you saw near fantastica, and it was awesome. i think the avalanche shows were my favorite i've seen matt do ever. near fantastica, to me is also perhaps the best song i've seen him do live. it's definitely top 5. workers sing a song is way way up there too for favorite songs i've seen him do. I love matt's performances with consistency, but what i wouldn't give to see him do vermillion, man of action, or sort of a protest live. i'd pay 100$ if he just played those three songs.
