I don't think you can do stuff like that directly with Facebook. Facebook doesn't want people customizing their profile pages, because they don't want the pages becoming cluttered, barely functional, disasters like what happened with mySpace. Although I'm sure there is some sort of app where you can have a box in your sidebar that you can add HTML to, or something like that.
