i try to not be nostalgic. really I try not to. the "old me" just sat and thought a lot of how I should have done something, which I probably didn't. but not anymore. Have a new place, living in Winnipeg. unfortunately have no car, and am dog/cat sitting. *shrug*

Have free health care.

Honestly, I think SDT lives in a perpetual state of reminiscing. I don't mind a bit of nostalgia myself, but at this stage it's concerning - it's like someone who's in his last week alive.

 

hahah i never thought of it that way...

 

at this point, i'm not really sure how i'll remember 2009, or what i will associate most with this year. same goes for the decade itself. i think that comes with time. right now i'm busy having my mind blown realizing that the year 2000 was almost ten years ago, when it definitely doesn't feel like that at all. perhaps the problem is that ten years doesn't feel as long as i think it should, but time has definitely flown right by (not necessarily in a negative sense, either).

i must be too young still. i can't really remember that much without prompting. what i remember is all that teenagers remember; losing virginities, first time smoking/drinking/weed etc., breakups, all that. and all the music.

I remember 1991, i was 16 then. It was the time Nirvana came out, and then Pearl Jam, and my 4-5 years into grunge, and grunge fashion was born.

i remember my sister talking to her friend about how Kurt Cobain killed himself.

I was a young kid.

born 1983, so 8....I didn't care about music.

hell, I remember kindergarten, come kids were singing Guns N' Roses songs. Huh, what?

and most of all I remember 2000 and y2k.

scared the hell out of me.
