For those who enjoyed Band of Brothers, there is another series that just started called "The Pacific". Both Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks are producing it again. The first episode was pretty good, i just want to see how it stacks up against Band of Brothers and Generation Kill.

Thanks for the reminder for Generation Kill, I continually forget to check that out. Working on getting the first episode of The Pacific now, probably have it ready for tomorrow morning if all goes well.

3rd episode was crap. The series is different from BoB in alot of ways. Crappy character development is whats probably hurting it the most. It tends to focus more on the mental aspects of fighting in the pacific. so far its 'ok'. Its not going to stack up to BoB but its decent for what it is.

^ No kidding there.

That episode didn't really do it for me, I was kinda underwhelmed. I thought that 4th episode was rather well done, a new perspective on the whole damaged goods side of the war, but this just doesn't stack up against the original. I'll still watch it to the end as I don't mind Leckey or whatever his name is, but the other characters just seem like throwaways.
