Drive by James Sallis (inspired the movie by the same name, which is one of my favorites of 2011).

 

The story is told in a non-linear fashion, which was kind of suprising (as I saw the movie first), but is still pretty easy to follow along with. Pretty short though- the paperback is apparently only 158 pages, and according to my Kobo I read about 33% in 45 minutes yesterday. Would recommend.

Currently reading Blood of Elves, one of the books in the Witcher saga. Purchased Let the Right One In, The Exorcist and The Raw Shark texts for my Kobo. Hurray!

I'm reading The Surgeon, it's the first book in the series that the TV show Rizzoli and Isles is based on. It's a slow read right now, but the demeanor of the characters in the books seems to match the tv show really well.

Finished Blood of Elves. Cliffhanger. Upsetting. It was good though, and I'm not going to complain too much about something I bought for 3.99. Will have to get the sequel one day.

 

Currently reading the Exorcist. Things are just starting to escalate. Such a great book, glad I picked it up. Haven't read it in years.

I Am Jennie by Jennie Ketcham

 

A memoir about her life growing up, her time in the porn business and her recovery from sex addiction and substance abuse after being on Sex Rehab with Dr Drew. Brutally honest, no holds barred, uncensored book. Really enjoying it, you know, as much as you can enjoy a book like this.

Read Drive and it's sequel Driven (by James Sallis) over the last week. Nice short, tight, gripping reads. Love them.

It's about software engineering, and how there are things that don't work. The chapter about the mythical man month is actually really interesting because it covers how adding more people to a project doesn't actually get the project done faster.
