I don't know the answer to the "door" riddle but the second one the answer is nothing.

 

A father and son were driving in snowy weather, hit ice, lost control and crashed into oncoming traffic. An ambulance rushed to the scene to take them the hospital. The father died en route, the son was in critical condition. Soon the ambulance reached the hospital, and the boy was rushed into an emergency operating room. The surgeon came in, saw the boy, and said "I can't operate on this boy; He's my son."
