Prosthetic Limbs: Property Damage Or Personal Injury?

Is a prosthetic limb an integral part of your body or simply a property? As technology progresses and the integration between man and machine become more common, laws will have to evolve too. I read the article below and felt it would be in interesting conversation to have on here. As of right now a prosthetic limb being damaged wouldn't hurt the person wearing it in the same way a person's biological body would hurt. Or would it matter on the intent of the damage?
