2019 Solo Acoustic Tour

Recommended Posts

I don't understand why he's letting one heckler ruin the show and not just ignoring them. One person out of.. how many?  I guess I understand, but still... one person.

I was 6th row for weds show and as a hardcore mg fan who’s been going to see him since 93’ that’s prolly the only time that he’s actually bored me to death.....and he absolutely not in a good way killed my most fave mg song EVER:( he’s much better with a band! His light set up did kick ass though.

You know, me and Adam were talking last year about how it's strange there are so few fans from that era. I mean, obviously a good portion of people who know of Matt probably know of him from the late 90/early 2000s, and there are a sizable portion of people who I see online that say they got into him in the later 2000s as well, but I think you are the first person I've ever seen note that they started following him "BEFORE" LOTGA came out which is pretty damned cool.

Where and how did you first hear of him?

Thank you for the review NonPopulus  🙂

Yes,  one of the best parts is seeing old friends 🙂

I wouldn't have given an encore in Calgary, but all the fans who came out and it is all about the music.

Did anyone notice he stopped playing the 12 string guitar on Rabbits at some point on this tour? I wonder why he did that. Really liked that extra touch. Guessing maybe one less guitar to lug around.

He said at some point, perhaps in a  VIP that he kind of fell out of love with it.

As much as I dig the solo acoustic show format, I would love to see him do a 'one-off' show, filmed and whatnot, with all the works. Full band, orchestra...all of it. In that formant, a song like Rabbits (which is in my personal top 5) would really shine I think.

My god, I would pay a serious chunk of change to hear Non Populus performed with an orchestra.

At the Milton VIP they were working out the pedal effect so he could play it on the 6 string as we were walking in. He mentioned at the show that night that he was happy with the sound and could burn the 12 string. I may have volunteered my yard.
