Referring to the news on the main page, i think this is great!

 

It takes all the pressure off Matt to write those prerequisite 1 or 2 "radio friendly" songs (Hello Time Bomb, Alert Status Red etc.) and he can stick those rockin tunes with his new band, and concentrate on doing whatever the f--- he wants with his solo stuff.

 

I can't wait to hear both, especially what he does solo.

 

Oh, and congrats to Matt for thinking of a great way to f---the "man" and being able to write whatever his artistic mind comes up with, while still being able to make money in the mainstream w/ his other band.

I bet it will be one of those things where he releases like 500 demos and it becomes like a major trading item. Plus it will probobly sound good too

my guess is, getting members that he brings on tour for his solo records, would be pretty pointless. Although bass players being the same wouldnt make a huge impact, its the soundwriting after all. having christian would be REALLY pointless. If he has some of the same band members, he might as well just make solo records and let them write some of the material.

in his last interview with chart, matt said that he hasnt spoken to either dave or ian since the band broke up and has no desire to...so i guess we shouldnt expect any sort of matthew good band reunion in the near future

From interviews and random rants on his website. i do believe that the relationship creatively and professional with Dave Genn was severed due to more issues than just music.
