arise, dead thread! arise! i'm giving the slip a fourth listen through, this time with my 'good' headphones. definitely a huge improvement over year zero. a return to big sound i like from him. i enjoy most of the songs on this one. i like it a little more than with teeth, maybe. maybe a toss up. haven't listened to that one in a while though. anyone have the time and space to check this out:

The internet is full of surprises these days.

I was contacted by a mysterious, shadowy group of subversives who SOMEHOW managed to film a substantial amount (over 400 GB!) of raw, unedited HD footage from three separate complete shows of our Lights in the Sky tour. Security must have been lacking at these shows because the quality of the footage is excellent.

 

If any of you could find a LINK to that footage I'll bet some enterprising fans could assemble something pretty cool.

edit: seems that the audio is strictly on-camera, but bootlegs of fan audio recordings are around. hmmm.

there is a tour sampler available free on the nin site. two nin songs, two jane's addiction, and two streetsweeper. the jane's addiction songs are studio versions of songs from their first/live album. the first nin song i've never heard before, but i enjoyed. the second is a studio version of non-entity and i love it. streetsweeper eat a dick. i only listened to their first song, but yeah...shit version of rage.

I got the sampler. I couldn't bare listening to that third band whatever they are. But the Jane's Addiction and NIN songs were pretty good.

I've been listening to Year Zero a lot lately.
