I'm going to the NIN show here in Edmonton tomorrow night. A Wednesday night. I'm happy and not happy at the same time as it is on a weekday and I'll have to face going to work hungover in the morning. Then again, it's good because it'll make the week all the more bearable. You know I've been waiting for this for a long time. It's my first NIN show ever and I've just become a fan in 1999 after purchasing The Fragile. I hope they play We're In This Together. One of my favorite songs of all time. I love the new album. I know it's not epic but the arrangements and ideas are genius. Everyday is Exactly the Same seems to be my theme nowadays.

I told you I should have joined the Spiral Mike! Never listen to Meathead.

I bet even at 12 you won't be the first person in line. Which is wild.

we got there just after 1, and while not first in line, i'd say we were among the first 50.. which worked out ok in the end because we got to hear 5 songs in soundcheck

whoa lucky.

were you that bald guy who got in a fight and was removed from the venue?

also, i yelled "momo" several times and no one responded.

no, but i was right beside that douchebag and his skinhead friends. we were asking security to do something and they did. i was about 7 feet from the stage. center-right.

That is lucky. Well played. The bald guy was hilarious to watch during QOTSA because everytime he would get tossed over the front of the crowd he would run back around to the entrance, frantically screaming and waving his arms in the air out of childish excitement. And it's true. That Hula guy did yell momo, and I myself was constantly on the lookout for a guy with a mohawk and a saturnine name tag. No luck though. On a serious note, did you know that people actually still have mohawks, rather big ones at that.

PS the show rocked bottom.

i saw NIN in may... got there at like, 10AM and there were already 6 or 7 people in front of us. overall, i've gotta say that the dresden dolls were much more entertaining than NIN. it just seem too rehearsed, not raw enough. that, and my front row center spot got stolen after five songs by 'xhardcorex' moshing fans who frightened me and thought they deserved my spot, even though they only got at the venue like 30 mins before opening... fucking assholes.

I would find you, and leave only flames and ashes in my wake.

Heard something about refunds available, but the previous shows that got it seemed to say the same tickedts would be honored at the reschedualed show....wait and see I guess...
