Check out the classic Modest Mouse release "The Lonesome Crowded West."

 

Modest Mouse has experienced an increase in mainstream attention these days. Mostly because of some radio friendly singles.

 

Before "Good News..." Modest Mouse wrote ten minutes songs and were heralded as "indie-gods."

 

Those were the days. "Good News" is an interesting release but doesn't compare to "Building Nothing Out of Something," or the release mentioned above.

 

Despite that, they still put on a crazy show and are well worth seeing.

Yeah, they have a lot of releases nobody ever talks about that are just as good, if not better than there newest material. Building Nothing out of Something is my favourite album by them.
