Saturnine mentioned something a bit ago.

There is nothing i hate more than spending $15+ on a piece of plastic, and then finding out the piece of plastic only holds 30 minutes of music. Fuck that annoys me.

what if it's the best 30 minutes of music you've ever heard?

(this is not at all a reference to weezer)

...then i would be pissed that it was only 30 minutes

i guesss....

i don't know. if it's done well, i don't care how long the album is.

"revolver" is only 34 minutes long and it's one of the best albums i've ever heard. i'd prefer half an hour of perfection to 74 minutes of some good songs and filler.

if you listen to good bands, you wouldn't have 74 minutes of good/filler

either you don't get what i'm saying or are just enjoying giving me a hard time, im not sure.

theres no reason for people to get upset when albums are half an hour long. sometimes a shorter album means it's a tighter work and more focussed, but it depends on the band of course. in short, who cares? just as long as the music is good.

yeah, 8 songs used to be the standard, really... Now it's eleven and generally, there are a few weak tracks, unfortunately.

In reference the best thirty minutes of music, i must admit, i have no complaints about Pinkerton, it just annoys me that 30 minutes might cost more than 80 minutes, y'know?

Well, while looking over the internet I found out that Weezer has released a new single. Seeing as how I never ever listen to the radio by choice, I figured I'd download the track.

It's called "Beverly Hills" and I hate it. This makes me sad, because I like all of Weezer's music, from The Blue ALbum to Pinkerton, to The Green Album and even Maladroit.

But I hate this new song. And this makes me a sad panda. Anyways, to make this a valid thread, what's your thoughts on the new single?

wow, i really like weezer... didnt know they had a new single but after your comments i dont know if i "wanna" hear it...

how come it is so bad?

i think i heard something about weezer.com being a wealth of weezer-related information.

i swear i am gonna marry you

as a representative of the church of scientology, i could make that happen. if you're worried about fees, have no fear, all i require is a lot of uncut cocaine during the reception.

also, welcome back to audiscrobbler.

weezer weezer weezer weezer weezer

still relevant.

"Make Believe" comes out May 10th. Same date as the Blue album came out. Only, Blue album had Sweater Song for it's first single, and Sweater song was good.
