I walked into Starbucks to get some kickstart for the day, and for some reason the new Beck album is for sale there.

the new beck is pretty excellent. sounds kinda like a mix b/w odelay & sea change in parts. but more around the lines of odelay in general then sea change or midnite vultures. but the sound of the album is overall more mature/structured then odelay. he's still up to his own tricks and still turns out a clever/quirky mix of rock/rap/blues/country/electronic/bossa nova/and several other genres of music. id highly suggest "girl", "broken drum" and "black tambourine" off the new one. the 8-bit remix of "hell yes" is pretty bangin' as well.
