Does anybody know this Scottish quiet electronic music band? Have you heard anything about them? Do you like them?

 

It is a very relaxing kinda music band ;) Just got their latest album, called "Geogaddi"

Yeah, I've got a few tracks of their stuff. It is...weird, for first time listeners (though I can't say I've heard the new album yet).

 

Kinda fits in the with rest of my electronic stuff though...

The track of same name from your (juanpe's) new album is awesome! I first heard "Kid for Today" about 2 years ago now. Great stuff. What's awesome about Boards of Canada is they're ability to be so mellow, yet not just get lost in the background. I love going for a walk and listening to their stuff, because it somehow makes me aware of the more subtle things going on around me.

That last album is from 2002, I haven't found anything else more recent... do you know if they have rehearsed something recently?

Sorry for bumping an old thread. But, Boards of Canada are an pretty amazing group. "Music has the right to Children" Is definatley my favourite of their works, followed by "twoism" and "Geogaddi". This is really relaxing/ambient music.
