Smog Kills 800/year In Toronto And Montreal

Smog is responsible for more than 800 deaths a year in Toronto, and extreme heat makes the problem even worse, a new government study has found.

 

The issue appears to be just as bad, in relative terms, in three smaller cities

it's a serious problem. I worked out today and my throat closed right up.

i find it ironic that the study was done in hamilton, which has two steel mills and is, by all accounts, an almost entirely industrial city, thus filling its air with millions of toxins and other pollutants and generating hazardous smog.

There also isn't any info on smog-related deaths for Hamilton. I guess the university doesn't want to make its home city look bad.

Smog is pretty horrible in Windsor. In the past few months I have started having to use an inhaler before I run. My chest would get so tight and I would almost pass out. Visiting San Diego right now and I have no problems whatsoever.

these people who die from smog i bet are mostly elderly. Elderly playing basketball. hahahahaha

 

But a anyways, it was 40 degrees celcius in Ottawa today with the humidex, and you could see the smog at ground-level when you looked far across a field. gross.
