Just a note: when a flag is disposed of there is a whole ceremony for it. That is vastly different to burning a flag for a political statement.

 

I would like to note that I think you should have the right to burn your own countries flag in the form of a political statement. Preventing such actions is akin to preventing anybody from speaking negatively of the state. If we're going to condone that, then Orwell was right.
