Casino Royale

Recommended Posts

September 07, 2005 - Paul Haggis has been selected to adapt the 1953 Ian Fleming novel "Casino Royale" for production as the 21st James Bond movie. Martin Campbell (Goldeneye) is slated to direct the new film. Producers are currently looking for the new Bond since they declined to sign on Pierce Brosnan for another film (bad decision, imho). "Casino Royale" was the first Bond novel and is considered to be the darkest and most violent of the books. It was adapted for the big screen back in 1967 as a spy spoof starring Peter Sellers, David Niven, and Orson Welles, but that version is not considered to be part of the Bond family.
