We Were Born In A Flame is an excellent album. I have no clue what he's doing now; probably making another album.

I have that album too. He is an excellent songwriter, and its cool he plays all the instruments.

He puts on a great show as well. There was a lot of younger teenage girls at it though - they were taken aback by the profanity, onstage drinking and general unexpected actions of Sam Roberts.

One guy was crowdsurfing, and little girls are too frail and cowardly to assist with that... he came near me, all the girls backed off, and i had to singlehandedly save this guy from falling headfirst onto the floor. It was cool; i caught him and threw him back towards the general crowd.

Pointless rambling story, but it was a good show.

Sam Roberts is definatley underrated down here in the States, only heard him on the radio briefly when they were promoting a show here in Buffalo. Got into him when he opened for the Hip a few years back in Syracuse, and been a fan ever since. The EP "The Inhuman Condition" is also very good.

The new upcoming album was recorded in Australia I believe.

yeah, i'm pretty sure that it was also. He introduced an act/accepted an award at the Juno's via satellite in Australia last year.

Don't Walk Away Eileen always makes me smile, i love that song.

Come on Eileen > Don't Walk away Eileen

But anyways Sam Roberts is the shit. Although I prefer the Inhuman Condition verison of Brother Down than the album version.

I prefer the Inhuman Condition version of "Where Have All The Good People Gone" to the full length album version.

I agree with Dan on this, the Where Have All The Good People Gone on Inhuman Condition, is far better, with an extended "jam" session, and a different mix to it.
