While I'm here, I have a request of my own:

 

In the Toronto show, MG played 'Hello Time Bomb' and slowed it down at the end to a ballad tempo repeating the chorus over and over again. I think this is the best part of the live performance of the song. Unfortunately, in the Toronto video, this part is cut off.

 

Does anyone have either a video / audio of that song in its entirety? If so, could I grab it off you?

The Montreal show is audio only. It was recorded with sp-cmc-10 mics and a microtrack recorder at 24bit/48khz and downsampled to burn to cd.

 

We were about 6 ft from the stage and the PA was above us, so the vocals are low and there is a lot of crowd noise. But all and all, it still sounds pretty good.

The HTB on the hub cuts off too. Right after the crowd stops singing the chorus and right before Matt starts singing it. A few other ones are cut short but overall it's still really great and really showcases the intensity of the band's live performance.

I think a live disc would have been a nice cap on the whole "in a coma"-era. (Not that the 3-disc set isn't nice.)

i downloaded the above files from the bittorrent. and i have them all as flac files now, but how do you play/convert these?

get dbpoweramp and the flac codec for it, then you will be able to convert them to mp3 no problem

get the flac plugin for winamp--- its called in_flac i believe

none of these 2005 shows are supposed to be converted in mp3..... unless you want to use it for personal use like for an Ipod, for example........ if you do that, make sure you do not share them

none of these 2005 shows are supposed to be converted in mp3...

Why is that? To preserve quality?

 

My 192kpbs mp3's (for an ipod-type device) sound great. I can't hear the difference between the flac and the mp3. Although I haven't really tried to listen carefully.. I figured since it's a live there aren't any meticulously mixed sounds that need to be preserved...

since its a live recording, any loss of quality will degrade the sound even further. Almost all tapers want to keep their recordings lossless.
