I was talking to a friend of mine the other day and we were just discussing MGB and we have no idea why he ended up leaving...anyone out there know? I know that he thinks "Matt Good is a real asshole". He is now apparently working in some music store here in Ottawa. All I remember is one day he was there with them on tour and then all of a sudden he was no more.

Actualy I don't think he thinks MG is an asshole. MG has said they keep in touch through email.

Geoff started doing something related to BMX bikes. He also used to go on the old Running For Home message boards, his username was "chaos" something... He also had an email address that you could regularly contact him with, but I can't say I have it handy.

He's posted on this board a few times lately (under 'the old man' I think), and I believe he's back playing music, maybe on the west coast again, not sure.

Yep, I don't think Mr. Lloyd actually thinks MG is an asshole and I don't think there's any animosity between them either.

 

Yeah, I do believe he posted here a few times and if I recall he lives here in BC now? I think he's been playing music/designing guitars.

Yeah he does post here occasionally. I can't remember his username exactly, but i think Seanathon was close.

I remember when he quit. He was the bald guy who played bass right? I think i remember that it being said at the time, or him saying, that the reason was that he wasn't getting the musical satisfaction playing in the band anymore.

 

I'm not certain thats true, but thats what i remember. It stuck with me because the guy almost looked pissed off in photos so at the time i thought him leaving was probably good because he didn't look so happy. or whatever.

OK, so in summary: Lives in Ottawa, maybe in B.C.. Quit because he was not satisfied with the direction of the band, orrrr, because he was persuing either a career in BMX racing, or had greater musical aspirations, more specifically, retail. Kind of grey depending on who you talk to regarding whether or not the split was mutual. Apparently may or may not think Matt is the asshole often painted, but almost certainly emails Mr. Good on occassion as some kind of disfunctional friendship remains, we think. One thing we know for sure is that he frequents this site on occassion, either more recently or quite a while ago using an abundance of cyber aliases which up to this point has yet to be pinpointed.
