"The Good Shepherd"

 

I didn't like it that much. They really didn't seem to focus enough on any of the major incidents in his life, and so the whole thing went like it was basically a timeline of events, without getting much into the events. Which is strange given the movie was nearly 3 hours long. Kind of peculiar that a movie can be both too short and too long at the same time.

Thank you! Not that I mind watching Daniel Craig or anything, but fuck, I had to watch it over 3 days because I just couldn't sit thru it...

 

Anyways, last movie I saw was Fracture. It was totally standard except that Anthony Hoppkins is so great and that Ryan Gosling is amazing.

Definately agree with you there. I want a poster of that last shot with the guy on the dock with the gun in his hand to encourage me and constantly remind me how to survive when the zombies come.

 

I saw Hot Fuzz. Really good but me expectations were too high, so I expected more. Not as good as Spaced or Shaun of the Dead but damn close.

back to Dawn Of The Dead (2004)

 

that movie is so well made, a few scenes almost bring me to tears is its sheer awesomeness

 

the first ten minutes for example. when it opens, theres no music, but it just feels like something isn't right. her drive from the hospital, the overhead shot in her neighborhood, the shot of the alarm clock ticking.

 

then the wicked cool title scene, with a perfect, and i mean PERFECT use of a Johnny Cash song.

 

 

dammit, i have to watch it again now.

"The Returner". not a bad "big budget" Japanese action flick. Good precursor to movies like "Casshern".

 

Takeshi Kaneshiro is dreamy. and can speak Chinese, English and Japanese fluently. Extra dreamy.

Fuck that, they looked like zombies I say they're zombies.

 

They're making a sequel or a prequel to that...it'll be interesting.

 

Just that scene of him standing in the middle of london, with no one there, is a total mindfuck.
