Off the top of my head I'd agree with you. I can't think of many other covers that are as good as that one. Except maybe some Annie Lenox ones.

Cat Power's "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" is cool, as is her "Sea of Love" and "Wonderwall".

 

All the Johnny Cash covers are pretty solid.

 

The greatest of all time will always be Shatner's "Rocketmn" for me. Oh god...it's so perfect.

mmm, Cat Power. Actually that whole Covers Album is great, as well as her cover of Pavement's "We Dance". Actually, speaking of Pavement, they have some great covers of Echo & The Bunnymen, R.E.M., and The Fall.
