yeah, tripoli's been played MANY times in the past. that was one of the few AOB songs that was played live in the 'transition' tour after the breakup of MGB, and it's been rehashed a few times since then.

It was a cute comment. I'd like to see Matt do a tour like the Tea Party did in 2002, where they play with a different Orchestra in each major city across Canada. Maybe someday, it'll happen:)

seems like the song could be transoformed a bit to be used with keys instead of the orchestra, not the same effect, but would still be a neat sound

The Tea Party's tour was sponsored by Imperial Tobacco and all the shows were 19+ so they could have cigarette girls selling duMaurier in the lobby. Imperial Tobacco has plenty of $$$, and if seeing Matt play that kind of show meant dealing with the Tobacco Company (or any other sponsor) I'd still buy tickets.
