Recommended Posts

Thats true. Theres exceptions though...Cuba isnt haveing alot of problems being a communist country.

There are alot of poverty in communist countrys and thats because the leaders of such countrys are corrupt. THey take more than there share of money. So technically it isnt real communism

Technically, Communism is a bad idea.

Communism is an evolution of socialism. Socialism is a good idea except that Marcs had no concept of the limited liability corporation. Therefor socialism is based on preventing a few very rich people from owning everything by preventing anybody from owning anything. Communism gives the state ownership of everything (this leads to poverty and corruption)

Not that a few of the communist concepts of equality, and sharing of wealth wouldn't be a heathy change to our social structure. In there purest form, these concepts are above reproach. (not that I'm against the rich)

In practice true communism would fail, but a hybrid of communism with capitalism would produce a social structure where: Everybody has equality under the law (this is becoming more of a reality here at home... not completely though... the details of this would have to be another thread, since I cannot completely explain an example enough to not have the appearance of being racist, which I am not); the government actively helps the underprivileged thus allowing all people to maintain a standard of living above the poverty line; there is a competitive market, thus driving the economy forward; contrary to Marc's socialism, rather than a few owning everything, everybody would own a piece of something.

Ironically the two political views at opposite ends of the spectrum, have elements that would be present in a utopian society.

Democracy=worst system in the world, yet it's the only one that works.

Communism=great system, but can only work given 2 near impossiblities: 1) Everyone (that is, 100% of the population) wants the communist system in power, and 2) the leader isn't a megalomaniacal dictator. For more on this phenomenom, read 'Animal Farm' by George Orwell. It's a great farce of the Soviet Union (and now that I think of it, the French Revolution as well).

That's just my opinion. I'll probably modify it somewhat as this discussion goes deeper.

I think that that's pushing it a bit. You have no other system to compare Democracy with that works. I think it's a great system, but as said before, it's not perfect. I think we're headed in the right direction---excluding the United States.

if we wanna be utopic, communism would be the perfect system (and I'm 100% for it)... but being realistic, in the globalized and materialistic world we are living in, communism can't take place, all political systems would have to be changed and i know that will not ever happen...

in any case, i'm still fighting - and i think we all should - for a better world, with more equality in all senses, sharing all we have with the others and specially with those in need... and that is the base of communism

call me utopic, i am and i'm very proud of it ;)
